This weekend Delray Beach is hosting their 17th annual craft festival on 4th Avenue.  Over 150 Artists and Crafters will gather in this beautiful venue for this annual event. Last year there were approximately 41,000 attendees and this year more people are expected come out for this event. All are welcome to attend and check out the different works of art.  Attendess are able to put input their email address to receive updates for their news letter.  The Palm Beach Post and The Sun-Sentinel are two of the many companies that will be sponsoring this event. The festival is Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm

Directions: Take I-95 to Atlantic Ave. in DelrayThere is an Atlantic Blvd. in Deerfield Beach just south of Delray - do not get these confused.) Go East on Atlantic Ave. and follow signs to show site along street. Location is at 4th Avenue and Atlantic Ave.

Since the weather this time of year is often unpredictable... bring an umbrella and/or a poncho unless you don't mind getting soaked!  The frozen lemonade, funnel cakes, and the food right off the grill is definitely a must try.

My thoughts of the Art Festival

This event was a very fun and yet eventful one to say the least.  The weather was perfect; hot and sunny. There was not a cloud in the sky.  My mother and I walked up and down Atlantic Avenue looking at the different works of art.  We had lunch at a small family owned resturtant on Atlantic Ave. Mom and I decieded to make a stop at Kilwins.  Kilwins is a family owned homemade chocolates and icecream shop that has been operating on Atlantic Ave for many years. Our icecream of choice is the  Banana fudge Pie in a waffle cone. After we  walked along A1A and had an enjoyable brisk walk back to our car.  If you take a stroll along A1A you will have the water on your left and the million dollar homes on your right.   I'm looking foward to next year's Art Festival!!!
